CSCS Red Apprentice Card

The CSCS Red Apprentice Card is designed for individuals who are in the process of learning a specific construction trade and are completing an apprenticeship. This card is for trainees who are working towards becoming skilled workers in fields such as:

Requirements for the Red Apprentice Card:

To get the CSCS Red Apprentice Card, you need to:

  1. Pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test for Operatives or Specialists (depending on the qualification) within the last 2 years.

  2. Be registered with a recognized Apprenticeship program in a construction-related field.

Renewing the CSCS Red Apprentice Card:

  • The Red Apprentice Card is a one-time card. It is issued to those who are working towards a specific qualification.

  • You cannot renew this card. Once it expires, you are expected to have completed your apprenticeship and qualification and then apply for a skilled CSCS card (e.g., the Green Labourer Card, Gold Advanced Craft Card, etc., depending on your trade).

Lost or Stolen CSCS Red Apprentice Card:

If your Red Apprentice Card is lost or stolen, you can request a replacement. Simply complete the Application Form, and the replacement card will be delivered to you within 5-6 working days.
